It's fair to say Hibs are due to do something in the Scottish Cup - the last time they won the trophy the guys building Edinburgh Castle were given time off to watch the parade down Princes Street - and I predict a winning debut for their new boss. While I don't wish to upset the Caley Thistle fans - well, there's been enough howling Gaels this week - I reckon the Easter Road men are the value bet of the day at even money. I don't actually know who Kenny supports (the poor guy's in for a shock if it's Clydebank or Airdrieonians) but if it happens to be the Hibees I think he'll have a smile on his face this afternoon. The new party slogan is: I Can't Believe It's Not Bhutto.īut that was before another "beep-beep" on my Nokia revealed the news that, on being released from jail after 21 years, Edinburgh-born Kenny Richey apparently asked waiting reporters: "Have Hibs won the Scottish Cup yet?" THANKS to the wonderful world of text messages, the average mobile phone goes "beep-beep" more often than Wile E Coyote's nemesis, Road Runner.Īnd the best one I received this week was about Pakistan going ahead with the elections using a lookalike.
